What Makes a Book.Christian?

This comes from a part of a thread of a Twitter feed, in which someone asked what made a book Christian.  This is my response.

  • Nature is glorious and dangerous.  Nature is not a god or gods.
  • Humans are created in the image of their Creator.
  • Humans have a great deal of good and evil.
  • The world is built on natural laws.
  • There are moral absolutes.
  • There are sin and redemption.
  • There is a need for a sacrifice.
  • Forgiveness and restoration are possible.
  • God, the creator is in control.
  • God will make all things new.

Then you can add:

  • Clean vocabulary
  • Limited violence and
  • Christian values and practices as the publisher desire them.

But it's better to just write good stories
